About this Position
The Mortgage Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting all aspects of Primerica Mortgage, LLC’s compliance program. We are seeking an organized and analytical thinking Compliance Analyst who will be responsible for performing quality control and compliance reviews to ensure mortgage loan processes meet company and regulatory standards and guidelines. Previous experience in working with state examinations, loan file preparation, and managing state examinations is required. The successful person in this position will be able to view compliance reviews in a holistic fashion and not focus singularly on a check list of items being reviewed. The primary focus of this position is to test established processes and procedures, document results and provide feedback to Management, assist with process enhancements, training opportunities, and performance management.
This is a hybrid position that requires working onsite in the Duluth, Georgia office and remotely multiple days each week.
Estimated salary range for this role is $65K - $75K
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow, assist with, and develop when required, the Monitoring and Testing (M&T) review and audit program procedures to review processes and tasks in mortgage operations, licensing, and production areas including, but not limited to, system documentation, accurate assessments and determinations, calculations, timely responses, and correct file documentation.
- Perform timely and appropriate M&T reviews and audits.
- Monitor quality assurance M&T findings and their resolution.
- Provide sufficient and timely reporting to management as well as raise and/or escalate problems and issues to management.
- Provides analysis for trends and risks identified as part of the M&T reviews and audits.
- Recommend efficient and effective processes for managing risk.
- Review mortgage application packages pursuant to compliance policies and procedures analyzing loan files for completeness and accuracy of documentation.
- Provide all support required to create and respond to state examination inquiries. This includes, but is not limited to, response development, managing state reporting requests, and any file preparation and organization that is required.
- Stay current and knowledgeable on changes in mortgage operations and mortgage production processes and maintain current knowledge of the company’s standards and practices.
- Assist with design, development, and maintenance of processes to track, monitor, and report activities. Evaluate results. Present insights and best practices.
- Assist documenting and updating manuals and loan documents, as changes in policies and procedures occur.
- Must be willing to stay abreast of state, federal, agency, and investor requirements.
- Provide vendor management support by documenting deficiencies and managing the resolution process with the vendor to ensure compliance requirements are met.
- Will be required to participate in special projects related to the mortgage lending business on a frequent basis.
- Will work closely with Mortgage Operations, Legal, and Compliance management teams.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Associates degree with commensurate work experience is acceptable.
- Must be highly disciplined and organized.
- Prior QA/QC/Analyst/Compliance experience required.
- Have a working knowledge of state and federal regulations.
- Have a working knowledge and willingness to research the compliance related requirements of FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, FHA, VA.
- Have a working knowledge of regulatory requirements including but not limited to TILA, RESPA, Regulations X and Z, FACTA, and Fair Lending
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including the creation of spreadsheets and report writing.
- At least 5 years of experience in the mortgage industry preferred.
- Mid-level to advanced level computer knowledge required.
