Job Summary:
The Manager, IT Support Services is responsible for leading the delivery of IT support across WCB Saskatchewan, ensuring the organization’s workforce is equipped with the tools and technology needed to serve customers effectively. This includes oversight of the Service Desk, end-user support, workstation lifecycle, hardware/software asset management, and application support.
Key responsibilities include managing incident and request resolution processes, ensuring high service quality and timeliness, and developing policies and procedures that support consistent service levels. The Manager will lead workforce capacity planning, service design, cost forecasting and budgeting, project management, performance analysis, and IT-related communications across WCB.
This role requires strong technical expertise in desktop operations, including security, configuration, and tools like SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, EntraID, and Group Policy. Knowledge of networking (routing/switching) and other IT systems is essential to ensure efficient operations. The Manager will apply this expertise to design and maintain effective, scalable IT support services aligned with industry best practices.
Qualifications:
University degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited University couple with a minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years’ of progressive IT experience within a medium to large systems environment including:
