Position Summary

This is more than a traditional helpdesk role. As a Junior IT Support Specialist, you will support employees across the organization while gaining hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, cybersecurity, AI tools, automation, and cloud administration. This position offers an excellent career path toward Systems Administration, Cloud Administration, Cybersecurity, or IT Operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1–2 technical support for hardware, software, Microsoft 365, and networking issues.
  • Configure, image, deploy, and maintain Windows laptops and user devices.
  • Assist users with password resets, MFA enrollment, and troubleshooting.

Microsoft 365 & Cloud Administration

  • Create, modify, and disable user accounts using Microsoft 365 Admin console.
  • Work with IT manager in maintaining a secure environment by enforcing policies, monitoring vulnerabilities and addressing issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 licenses, security groups, shared mailboxes, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, and Intune.
  • Deploy endpoint policies and software while maintaining device compliance.

Security & Compliance

  • Process access requests following company security policies.
  • Support phishing awareness campaigns and cybersecurity training.
  • Assist with SOC 2 evidence collection, documentation, and audit preparation.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation, SOPs, and asset inventories.

AI & Automation

  • Support deployment and administration of approved AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude, and future AI tools.
  • Assist with AI access management, governance, and secure adoption.
  • Work with the software engineering team to deploy internal AI automations and improve employee productivity.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Windows, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, PowerShell, Defender, or Azure.
  • Exposure to SOC 2 or cybersecurity best practices.
  • Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or Modern Desktop Administrator.
  • Interest in AI technologies and process automation.
