The Key Program, Inc. (Key) is expanding their IT department and is seeking a full-time skilled IT Support Technician to join the team.  The IT Support Technician will be responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, assisting with network troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure. The position will be based out of our Springfield, MA regional office with occasional travel to our other regional sites throughout MA and Providence, RI.


Salary/Benefits: 

Wage: Competitive hourly wage: $26.00 - $30.85

Additional compensation is provided for bilingual skills and our generous employee referral bonus program.

Qualifications:

  • An associate or bachelor's degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline and two years of technical experience working with network infrastructure, servers and telecommunications is required; or any equivalent combination of experience and training/certifications which provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems including Windows 11 and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding TCP/IP technologies such as DHCP, DNS, and related troubleshooting tools.
  • Solid network troubleshooting skills - TCP/IP concepts and LAN/WAN issues.
  • Experience working with Windows Active Directory and Office 365.
  • Ability to configure and monitor antivirus and email security tools.
  • Experience with SonicWall firewalls, exacqVision NVR, and Verizon MDM is a plus.
  • The physical requirements associated with this job for lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Will be required to travel.

Responsibilities:  

  • Provide application, network, operating system, and hardware support to end-users on a variety of issues; responds to telephone calls, emails, and personal requests for technical support.  Provide onsite assistance as needed.
  • Provide technical support, laptop, desktop, printer, and network connectivity issues as well as applications.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the security and health of our network and hardware including but not limited to antivirus protection, patch management, data encryption, etc.
  • Install, manage, and support various Windows operations systems and applications.
  • New end-user setups and email account configuration.
  • Image new computer hardware in preparation for deployment to end-user, install and update computer software.
