IT Support Technician (Onsite)

PDS Optical is seeking a dependable, customer-focused IT Support Technician to provide onsite technical support at our Florida manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for supporting employees with day-to-day technology needs, maintaining computer equipment, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring reliable operation of IT systems throughout the facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical aptitude who enjoys solving problems, working directly with users, and being part of a collaborative team. The pay range or this position is $25.00 - $32.00 hourly ($52,000 - $67,000 annually). This is an onsite position located in our Fort Lauderdale Optical Lab. 

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices. 
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows computers and peripheral equipment. 
• Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, email, printing, networking, and software issues. 
• Create and manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions. 
• Install software updates and perform routine computer maintenance. 
• Support production workstations and office technology. 
• Maintain inventory of computers and IT equipment. 
• Document support requests and resolutions. 
• Coordinate with outside IT vendors when necessary. 
• Assist with IT projects and equipment deployments. 
• Follow company cybersecurity and data security procedures. 

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT support experience preferred. 
• Associate degree or technical certification preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered. 
• Working knowledge of: 
  • Windows 10/11 
  • Microsoft 365 
  • Active Directory (basic user administration) 
  • Printers and scanners 
  • Basic networking (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, switches) 
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. 
• Excellent communication and organizational skills. 
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and move computer equipment as needed. 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting manufacturing or warehouse operations is a plus but not required.

• Familiarity with barcode scanners, label printers, or production equipment. 
• Experience with Microsoft Intune or endpoint management. 
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
