With our historic healing mineral springs, thoughtful amenities and events, we’re excited to provide a new source of nourishment and wellbeing to the area.


POSITION:

IT Support Technician (PART-TIME) Ottine Mineral Springs is seeking a detail-oriented IT Support Technician to assist with the resort’s technology operations. This entry-level, part-time position is ideal for someone who is looking to gain hands-on IT experience in a hospitality setting. The IT Support Technician will work closely with the IT Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day technology operations, troubleshoot technical issues, and support staff with IT needs.

This part-time position will require some nights, weekends, and holidays.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide first-level technical support for computers, networks, and software applications.
  • Assist employees with troubleshooting IT-related issues, including login/access problems, Wi-Fi connectivity, and hardware malfunctions.
  • Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Help maintain and update IT asset inventory, tracking hardware and software licenses.
  • Assist in implementing cybersecurity best practices and educating staff on safe technology use.
  • Support POS (Point-Of-Sale) systems and troubleshooting prior connectivity issues.
  • Perform routine system updates and software installations as directed.
  • Assist with setting up technology for meetings, presentations, and guest events.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the IT Manager as needed.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for common IT issues.
  • Perform other IT-related tasks as assigned by the IT Manager.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, assisting with basic inquiries or directing them to the appropriate staff members
  • Have a thorough understanding of the amenities and directions to / from resort.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Stay updated on safety and emergency procedures as well as OSHA requirements.

Due to changing operational demands and the need to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to undertake various functions that are not specifically related to this position. This individual may be required to carry out additional tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Additionally, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and modification.

Requirements
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays required.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS) and networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and cloud-based applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer services skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior IT support experience or coursework in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and professional communication skills are critical.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a high level of patience and customer service.
  • CPR and first aid certification a plus and /or the willingness to be trained.
  • Ability to walk or stand and move about the resort (both indoors and outdoors) for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures, and the capacity to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • The person in this position will need to be comfortable working in an indoor/outdoor use space.
