About the Role:  

We are seeking an IT Technical Support Technician to join our team at Spartronics' North Logan facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in networking concepts, hardware and software troubleshooting, and customer service to employees. In this role, you will be the primary resource for diagnosing issues, providing decisive support to users, and ensuring our IT systems operate flawlessly. 


Work Schedule: 

  • Onsite at the North Logan Spartronics facility. 
  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. 
  • On-call / After-hours availability as required. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the point of contact (POC) IT Support for the North Logan site.   
  • Respond to and resolve technical support requests in a timely, service-oriented manner using our internal ticketing system.  
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and network problems for employees.  
  • Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets, including tracking and ordering necessary supplies.  
  • Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware computer components, workstations, printers, and network systems, ensuring systems are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of support interactions, in line with company standards.  
  • Support employee onboarding by setting up devices and ensuring seamless access to required tools and software.  
  • Provide site support for Corporate-driven IT initiatives of new programs, systems, and software.  
  • Coordinate with IT vendors, consultants, and contractors in the implementation of programs or to resolve issues. 
  • Must be U.S. persons within the definition of ITAR, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.  
Requirements

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Associate degree or technical degree in Computer Science.   
  • Professional certifications in CompTIA A+ / CompTIA Network+.  

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT Support.  
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a hands-on, user-facing, support-based environment. 
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools and remote support software. 
  • Solid knowledge of computer hardware, software, and various technologies, including Microsoft Windows, Office 365, TCP/IP, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.  
  • Skilled in networking configuration, diagnostics, and maintenance, with the ability to analyze situations and identify effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage various deliverables and workload. 
  • Attention to detail, an attitude driven by a sense of urgency, and a problem-solving approach. 
  • Friendly and positive attitude, with a willingness to collaborate and build relationships within the team. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 


Key Metrics and Focus Areas: 

  • Measure of how often issues are resolved on the first interaction—critical for user satisfaction and efficiency. 
  • Track average time taken to acknowledge and fully resolve support tickets; focus on reducing delays. 
  • Collect feedback after ticket closure to gauge end-user satisfaction and identify areas for service improvement. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Lift and move equipment, such as computers, monitors, and other hardware, up to 50 LBS. 
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components. 
  • Sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods.

Compensation: This is a non-exempt position. Compensation may be determined based on experience, qualifications, skillset, and education.
