We are seeking a proactive, motivated IT Support Specialist I to provide high‑quality technical assistance and support across our organization. This onsite role is ideal for a hands‑on technician who enjoys problem‑solving, continuous learning, and working in a fast‑paced environment alongside a highly experienced IT team with 60+ years of combined expertise.
About the Role
As an IT Support Specialist I, you will serve as the
first point of contact for all computer, device, and local network issues. You will manage and respond to helpdesk tickets, support end users, configure and deploy hardware, and assist in maintaining the reliability of our IT systems. You will report directly to the IT Manager and support a broad set of technologies across the environment.
This role provides a clear advancement path toward Level 2 system administration, networking, and cloud engineering roles based on performance and skill development.
Salary Range: $65K, based on experience and technical capability.
Key Responsibilities
Support & Troubleshooting
- Serve as the initial point of contact for all computer and local network issues.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets and resolve hardware and software problems for end users.
- Provide support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
Configuration & Deployment
- Configure and deploy IT resources, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Perform user account provisioning and administration across Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
Systems & Infrastructure
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing local servers and virtual machines.
- Support wired and wireless LAN configuration and issue resolution.
- Maintain PC and server backup and disaster recovery systems using Macrium Backup & DR solutions.
Tools & Technology Management
- Help manage the IT environment using tools such as N‑Able, Snipe‑IT, PDQ Deploy, PDQ Inventory, and Intune/Entra ID.
Requirements
- 2+ of experience in computer or network support.
- Technical certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, or Network+ are a plus.
- Strong technical writing skills and experience documenting IT implementations.
- Ability to work outside standard business hours when required.
Experience & Skills
- Experience providing IT support in LAN/WAN environments (2+ years).
- Experience configuring and supporting Windows Server 2022 & 2025.
- Intermediate knowledge of Hyper‑V / server virtualization.
- Proficiency in Windows 11 deployment and administration.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, networking principles, and routing fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of backup, antivirus, and security applications.
- Detail‑oriented, proactive, and strong troubleshooting/analytical abilities.
- Organized, self‑motivated, and committed to continuous technical growth.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts and provide informed recommendations.
