Homeland Safety Systems,  is a rapidly expanding and ever-changing company with a core focus in industrial and commercial security consulting, design, engineering, and installation of access control, CCTV, and communication equipment for high end, complex electronic security systems. We currently serve throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Texas.

About the Role:

Homeland Safety Systems (HSS) is looking for a hands-on IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the first line of defense for IT issues, supporting our staff and customers while keeping company systems secure, reliable, and up to date. You will manage everything from desktop support to network troubleshooting and become an expert in HSS technology.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide Tier 1 & 2 IT and desktop support, resolving issues within 24 to 48 hours.

  • Troubleshoot software, network, and email problems for staff and customers.

  • Manage new hire setups and terminations (accounts, permissions, email, etc.).

  • Maintain IT documentation, knowledge base, and asset management system.

  • Keep company equipment and systems updated with the latest security protocols.

  • Support HSS technology, including servers, video surveillance, and access control

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous IT support or desktop support experience.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong Knowledge of networking, security, and system administration.

  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly; certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) a plus.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and great at communicating with both tech and non-tech
