Position Overview

As an IT Support Specialist at Spectra Credit Union, you’ll be a vital part of our technology team, helping users solve problems and stay connected. From troubleshooting hardware and software to managing user accounts and supporting remote branches, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things IT. What qualities are we looking for in an IT Support Specialist?

 

  • A passion for solving technical problems and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and software applications.
  • Experience or interest in Active Directory and Microsoft 365 user management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to learn and grow.

 

Essential Duties Include:

  • Provide prompt and effective technical support for hardware and software systems.
  • Maintain and update user accounts, permissions, and access to shared resources.
  • Support remote diagnostics and escalate complex issues when needed.
  • Manage IT inventory and assist with setup and maintenance of equipment.
  • Travel locally to provide IT support to branch locations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth help desk operations.

 

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in IT or related field preferred.
  • Prior help desk or technical support experience is a plus but not required.
  • Hands-on experience through internships, school projects, or personal IT initiatives will be considered.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products and help desk ticketing systems.
