As an IT Support Technician I, you will play a crucial role at Broughton Partners by providing technical support and assistance to end-users and ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and networks. The IT Support Technician I will manage day-to-day hardware and software issues, as well as oversee the onboarding and offboarding process for employees.. This position is as a liaison between Broughton Partners and our third-party IT company, ensuring that all IT-related issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Functions / Duties Performed Regularly:
- Partner with the People & Culture team to facilitate onboarding of new hires and departing employees.
- Install and repair hardware and peripheral components for workstations such as monitors, desktops, and printers
- Load appropriate software packages such as operating systems, networking components, and office applications
- Full tracking of employee hardware assignment, license utilization, and performing audits.
- Assign and maintain user access to network and software, creating new user profiles and removing access as appropriate
- Train users in hardware and software use, as well as new company-provided applications
- Manage network servers and technology tools
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Provide technical consulting, system configuration, and troubleshooting for computer or technical problems
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise applications and systems
- Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
- Take full ownership on special projects and related duties as assigned by management
- Set up and/or relocate equipment in offices, cubicles, other workspaces and storage as required
- Create and maintain documentation for IT procedures, systems, policies and processes
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s degree plus certification in Information Technology required, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology preferred.
Work Experience: No experience required, experience working in information technology preferred.
Licenses or Certification: Information Technology or Computer Science Certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms

Physical Requirements

Standing, walking, sitting, movements and use of mechanical controls, such as keyboard, are frequently required. Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 25 lbs.
