Overall Responsibility:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive IT Support Specialist with hands-on experience to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer systems, hardware, software, and networking, and will be responsible for supporting end-users and maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to staff in person, over the phone, and remotely for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware, software applications, and peripherals.
  • Set up and maintain user accounts, workstations, and access permissions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Windows and macOS environments.
  • Administer and support cloud platforms including Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra.
  • Manage and monitor devices using Microsoft Intune and Active Directory.
  • Implement and monitor basic networking and connectivity solutions (e.g., IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Apply software updates, patches, and security configurations to endpoints.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, procedures, and asset inventory.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees, ensuring proper IT access and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff on larger infrastructure and security projects as needed.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based role with occasional remote troubleshooting.

  • May require lifting of IT equipment (up to 40 lbs).

  • Occasional after-hours support or weekend maintenance may be required.

 

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in IT support or a related technical field.

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and standard office applications.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra.

  • Experience with device and user management using Intune and Active Directory.

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests efficiently.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, etc.).

  • Experience working in a multi-site or hybrid (on-prem/cloud) IT environment.

  • Familiarity with IT security best practices and compliance standards.
