Description

  Duties:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals
  • Respond to user inquiries and provide timely feedback, and resolution of IT-related problems
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement solutions to improve system performance and reliability
  • Assist in the administration of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and Office365
  • Document and maintain accurate records of IT support activities.


Skills:

  • Proficient in Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11, Basic Windows Server AD Administrator
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques
  • Hands-on experience with desktop applications and hardware solutions
  • Experience with network operations and concepts
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory Admin Portals
  • Experience with video conference solutions such as: Zoom and Teams
  • Experience with file sharing solutions such as: ShareFile, Box and One Drive
  • Basic Experience with VMware
  • Understanding Of Endpoint and Network Security
  • Experience with support and patching tools such as Managed Engine /Ninja, etc.




Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, Bachelor’s preferred

3 plus years’ experience in Information Technology.


Customer service skills to provide high levels of empathy, patience, and active listening. Understand user frustration and provide calm, patient, and personalized support.


Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate troubleshooting steps clearly and manage client expectations.

Strong critical-thinking skills combined with a genuine passion for helping people.

Physical Requirements:


 Heavy Lifting & Equipment Handling

  • Lifting: Regularly required to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 30 to 50 lbs. (e.g., servers, desktops, printers, or battery backups).
  • Mobility: Ability to walk and stand frequently, sometimes navigating across large buildings, warehouses, or multiple campus locations. 

Agility & Maneuverability

  • Crawl and Kneel: Must be comfortable crawling under desks, routing cables behind equipment, or accessing network closets.
  • Reach and Stretch: Frequent reaching overhead, horizontally, or below the waist to plug in equipment or manage wire racks.
  • Climb: Capacity to use stepladders or climb ladders to mount equipment, access ceiling Wi-Fi routers, or manage server rooms.

Dexterity & Sensory Capabilities

  • Fine Motor Skills: High degree of finger and hand dexterity to assemble, disassemble, and repair delicate, small-scale computer hardware (e.g., swapping hard drives, replacing memory, managing small screws). 
  • Vision: Near vision is critical for reading small text, viewing fine details on motherboards, and observing computer screens for long periods. Color vision is frequently required to identify color-coded wiring and port indicators.
