The Role

WCLC is currently looking to add an IT Helpdesk Analyst to our Video Lottery Division in Saskatoon for a four-month term. This division manages the Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) operation in the province of Saskatchewan.

This position will be responsible for addressing and mitigating vulnerabilities that have been identified within the organization's IT infrastructure and software applications. This role focuses on implementing solutions to remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring a secure and resilient environment.

The successful candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

In joining our team as an IT Helpdesk Analyst, you will…

  • Provide End User Support via Helpdesk
  • Work with IT and system administrators to apply patches and updates to systems and applications promptly.
  • Develop and execute remediation plans for identified security vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct testing to ensure that remediation efforts are effective and do not introduce new issues or disruptions.
  • Work with IT and system administrators assisting with Microsoft SQL database servers.
  • Work with IT and system administrators on Microsoft Auto Pilot enrollments.
  • Work with IT and business stakeholders in customer relationship management software.
  • Where applicable work with systems administrators assisting with server virtualization, implementing VMWare hosts and virtual servers.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of remediation activities, including dates, actions taken, and verification of successful resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Computer Science or student of Information Security or related field.
  • Experience in vulnerability remediation, with a strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts.
  • Familiarity with patch management, system configurations, and software development processes.
  • Familiarity with helpdesk software, customer relationship management software or asset management software is an asset.
  • Experience with VMWare, Microsoft SQL server and Microsoft Cloud applications are an asset.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a high attention to detail.

 

Who we are 

WCLC’s VLT division is contracted by LGS (Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan) to manage and operate VLTs in Saskatchewan. The VLT division operates 4,200 VLTs across the province, and WCLC provides training, installation, and maintenance of the VLTs, as well as a central operating system.

WCLC is the non-profit organization authorized to manage, conduct, and operate lotteries – at retail and online – and other gaming-related activities for the governments of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba as well as the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
