We are currently seeking a skilled IT Help Desk Technician to join our team onsite in Baltimore, MD. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for end-usersβ€”troubleshooting technical issues, managing devices, and supporting enterprise applications in a Microsoft-based environment. You'll work directly with government stakeholders and internal teams to ensure seamless IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support in a service desk environment, both in-person and over the phone
  • Troubleshoot PC hardware and software within a Microsoft networked environment
  • Administer Microsoft Active Directory and manage users and devices
  • Support and administer Microsoft Office 365 and Azure environments
  • Repair, install, upgrade, and configure:
    • PCs and laptops
    • Stand-alone and networked printers and scanners
    • Modems
  • Install and configure:
    • Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 or newer
    • Microsoft Office 365 (Desktop and Cloud versions)
    • Service Desk software (e.g., Maximo, ServiceNow, or equivalent)
    • Remote Desktop tools (e.g., Microsoft Remote Desktop, LANDesk)
    • SCCM / Microsoft Configuration Manager



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field
    • OR 5+ years of equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business IT environments with demonstrated expertise in:
    • Tier 1/Tier 2 support
    • PC and server hardware, operating systems, and software
    • Active Directory management
    • Device setup and configuration
    • Enterprise desktop support and remote troubleshooting



Location

This position isΒ onsiteΒ at our Baltimore, MD location.
Preference is given to candidates in the Baltimore Metro and Washington, DC Metro areas.


Salary Information

The salary range for the IT Help Desk Technician position is competitive and commensurate with experience, between $52,000 to $56,000 annually. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.
