Lad Lake is a COA accredited, nonprofit, independent organization serving kids and families from across the state. We work with 1,200+ youth and their families through evidence-based, trauma-informed programs at three Southeastern Wisconsin campuses. We're on the lookout for a Help Desk Technician to join our IT department. This role is responsible for providing software and hardware support, troubleshooting technical issues, assisting with one-on-one training for end-users, and maintaining the associate desktop environment.
What a day in the life of a Help Desk Technician looks like:
- Provide basic and intermediate training to users on software programs, printers, phone systems, and other peripherals.
- Maintain and process records related to printed directories, how-to user procedures, department forms, and equipment inventory.
- Assist with day-to-day administration of end-user settings, including network permissions, access, phone, and voicemail.
- Maintain and troubleshoot copiers/printers, coordinating service calls when necessary.
- Stay up to date with standard software applications used at Lad Lake and maintain knowledge of common hardware/software products.
- Collaborate with IT personnel to diagnose and resolve desktop and printing environment issues.
What you bring to the table:
- Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Operational knowledge of:
- Microsoft Server (2016 to Current)
- Microsoft Office 365
- Network printer configuration
- Hardware failures and upgrades
- Configured Exchange mailboxes
- Post-installation support activities
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Commitment to staying informed on emerging technologies related to this role.
- MS Certifications are a plus.
