Help Desk Technician

Hansel Auto Group is seeking an Full time entry-level IT Support Technician who is excited to learn, grow, and take pride in doing things the right way. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys structured tasks, clean setups, and consistent processes. 

Location: Petaluma, Ca (Hansel Honda- Onsite) Be able to travel to Petaluma, Santa Rosa, and Napa at our other locations.

Department: Information Technology 

Employment Type: Full-time | On-site with local travel 

Key Responsibilities 

- New hire onboarding and employee terminations, ensuring all steps are completed accurately and consistently. 

- Setting up computers, monitors, phones, and peripherals for new hires and office moves. 

- Running and organizing cabling so workspaces are professional, clean, and tidy. 

- Providing Tier 1 / Tier 1.5 IT support for PCs, printers, phones, logins, and MFA issues. 

- Documenting work clearly and consistently in the IT ticketing system.

- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal). 

- Reliable, consistent, and comfortable following checklists and procedures. 

- Able to work well with non-technical users. 

Requirements 

- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation. 

- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and assist with moving IT equipment. 

- Comfortable standing, bending, and working with cabling and hardware. 

- Must pass a pre-employment drug test. 

- Basic computer knowledge required; prior IT experience is a plus but not required.
