Receives incoming calls and emails from hospital employees, physicians, and patients, then prioritizes service requests and opens work orders into the Helpdesk ticketing software for the appropriate technicians and service area. This position provides first-level support for problems relating to hospital computers, printers, phones and other computer related equipment and software. Helpdesk assigns, tracks, documents resolutions and radio dispatches work orders as required. The technician also maintains equipment inventory, disposal and preventative maintenance on hospital IT equipment. Incumbent is the primary contact between hospital and employees and the Biomedical, Facilities, Engineering, Housekeeping, Information Systems, Telecom, and Maintenance technical staff.
