Description

We are seeking a reliable, tech-savvy Help Desk Technician to provide front-line technical support across multiple medical practice locations. You’ll be the go-to person for IT support requests—resolving hardware and software issues, managing onboarding/offboarding, and helping staff maintain secure, compliant technology use. This is a Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm position with the occasional Saturday on-call which can be done remotely


Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, or in-person
  • Resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Escalate complex issues to the IT Director or third-party vendors


User Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Set up new employees with hardware, software, and access credentials
  • Ensure timely deactivation of former employees and hardware recovery
  • Maintain secure and accurate onboarding/offboarding checklists


Asset & Access Management

  • Track and manage IT equipment (laptops, thin clients, phones, ID badges)
  • Maintain inventory records and document system/user changes
  • Use our ticketing system to log and manage support requests


Security & Compliance

  • Follow HIPAA and internal security policies at all times
  • Report potential breaches and assist in compliance audits
  • Handle confidential information with care and discretion
Requirements

Required:

  • Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field—or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years in a help desk or technical support role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, thin clients, and basic networking
  • Willingness to work on-site across multiple locations
  • Familiarity with HIPAA or willingness to complete training


Preferred:

  • Experience supporting EMR/EHR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks)
  • Excellent communication skills, especially with non-technical users
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
  • CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification
  • Comfortable working in clinical environments

Salary Description
$23.00 - $25.00
