The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security architecture that protects the organization’s IT infrastructure, data, and systems from cyber threats. This role will configure and enforce security policies, manage security technologies, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

This role must work closely with cross-functional teams to assess security risks, identify vulnerabilities, and deploy solutions for web, email, and endpoint security.  This role requires an up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats and emerging technologies to continuously improve the organization’s security posture. This role involves not only implementing preventive measures but also responding to active threats, analyzing security incidents, and driving remediation efforts.

Job-Specific Requirements:

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field required
    • Security certifications preferred (e.g., GAIC GSEC, GWAP)

Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years hands-on Information Technology experience – including at least 1 year of Information Security experience in research, design, build, deployment, operations, and support phases

Specific Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of networking infrastructure concepts, technologies, protocols, and solutions expected
  • Email security, data loss prevention, and cloud security experience desired
  • Comfort working across multiple computing platforms (Windows, Linux, MacOS,AS/400)
  • Ability and desire to research and solve complex business and technology problems
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, multi-tasking, project management, and communication skills 
  • Customer focused and service oriented to ensure timely and accurate performance and benchmark achievement.
