Danner’s Inc., a respected leader in Maritime Transportation and Security, is seeking a Temporary IT Support Technician for our Pasadena, TX location. This 8-week contract role will support our team by providing dependable, hands-on technical assistance with computer systems, mobile devices, and IT equipment. Ideal candidates will be reliable problem-solvers with strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and a commitment to keeping our operations running smoothly

As a Temporary IT Support Technician, you will:
  • Serve as Level 1 Service Desk support for all service requests/tickets.
  • Provide end-user technical support including troubleshooting and administration of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, and telephony.
  • Coordinate preparation and installation of new computing equipment as well as upgrading and repairing existing computer equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service through effective communication, understanding, and logical troubleshooting.
  • Provide detailed documentation regarding steps taken to resolve issues and fulfill requests in the form of incident diary entries, knowledge base and wiki articles.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Manage and maintain IT inventory including hardware, software, phones, cell phones and printers.
  • Collaborate with other employees, consultants, and vendors to maintain standards and functionality.
  • Assist with IT projects/tasks and duties as assigned by IT Manager.
  • Occasional travel to branch offices to troubleshoot and/or install new equipment (company vehicle provided for such visits).:

  • IT support: 1 year (Required)
  • Alarm System & Access Control Technicians: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Cable networking: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Knowledgeable in MS Windows based OS, MS productivity software, CPU/Networking hardware, TCP/IP network protocols, LAN/WAN configuration, IOS, and Android.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solver with great organization skills, communicating necessary information to supervisors, as well as make suggestions for improving operations as necessary.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize problems when handling multiple cases.
  • Self-starter, energetic, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with ability to quickly learn complex technical issues.
  • Experience with security camera networking a plus.
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Clean MVR
Job Type: Temporary (approximately 8 weeks)
Location: Pasadena, TX (On-Site)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
Education: High school or equivalent (Required); Associates or Bachelors, or IT certification (Preferred)
