Position Description: Caliola is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Technical IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with end user support, hardware setup, user account management, and hybrid (cloud/on-premises) services administration, along with a strong customer service mindset.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Build, configure, and deploy laptops and desktops according to company standards.
  • Track, organize, and maintain IT hardware and software inventory.
  • Create and manage user accounts, groups, and IAM & RBAC access permissions.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications, manage Azure AD users, licenses, and security policies.
  • Perform light troubleshooting and administration tasks on Linux systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, procedures, and support requests.
  • Vulnerability scanning, patching, system hardening, security monitoring and triage.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Interact with vendors (e.g., Dell and Microsoft) to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Recommend solutions to streamline IT and cybersecurity processes.
  • Work under supervision and independently to solve technical and business problems.
  • Able to adapt and grow in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

What We Require:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 – 5 years of IT help desk, desktop support, system administration or similar technical role.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Willing to learn new skills and contribute to team efforts.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and end-user device setup.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Familiarity with Azure EntraID (users, groups, licensing, conditional access).
  • Ability to assemble and configure laptops/desktops (hardware & software).
  • Understanding of IT asset and inventory management practices.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux command line and system operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with NIST 800-171 & 800-53 and DoD CMMC Level 2 and other regulatory frameworks.
  • One or more relevant certifications, to include:
  • CompTIA Security+ (must obtain within first 6 months of employment)
  • MS Certified Azure Fundamentals
  • MS Certified Azure Data Fundamentals
  • MS 365 Certified Fundamentals
  • MS Certified Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. Government. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens. In addition, applicants who accept a conditional offer of employment may be subject to government security investigation(s) and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

What We Value:

  • Associates degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field preferred.
  • Active security clearance preferred.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or other industry certifications.
  • Experience working with vulnerability management and remediation.
  • Experience with Intune or other endpoint management solutions.
  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) automation.
  • In depth knowledge of macOS and IOS devices.

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to transition between sitting and standing as needed to complete job-related tasks.
  • Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as needed to complete job-related tasks.
  • Ability and dexterity to grasp, handle, and manipulate small items such as, but not limited to, cellphones, laptops, USB drives, business cards, documents.
