Network & Cybersecurity Analyst Description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Network & Cybersecurity Analyst to join their on-site team in Marietta, GA. This role blends local network security and cybersecurity, with responsibilities ranging from daily system oversight to implementing new security safeguards. You’ll analyze vulnerabilities, review logs, and manage both cloud and on-prem environments to ensure system integrity. As the escalation point for external IT vendors, you’ll collaborate across the IT team to address security threats and ensure patch management causes no downstream issues. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of system risk and protection for Microsoft environments, is hardworking, and thrives in an autonomous yet team-oriented setting. Network & Cybersecurity Analyst Responsibilities

•    Monitor and manage security across the local LAN, workstations, & servers (on-prem & cloud) 
•    Perform vulnerability scans and patch implementations daily
•    Review system logs to detect malware, breaches, and trends
•    Manage antivirus systems and respond to alerts in real time
•    Coordinate with vendors and act as the primary escalation contact
•    Test updates before deployment to avoid disruptions
•    Maintain security documentation, protocols, and emergency measures
•    Assess risks and collaborate with the IT team on safeguard strategies
•    Identify and mitigate physical and cyber vulnerabilities
•    Respond to after-hours on-call issues (1–2 per week, resolution time: 5–15 min each)
•    Stay current on industry trends through annual seminars and security training classes
•    Provide input on new security tools and technologies for future implementation

Network & Cybersecurity Analyst Qualifications

•    3+ years of local area network security and cybersecurity experience is required
•    Cisco and Microsoft certifications are required
•    Experience with firewalls, password protection, & authentication is required
•    Microsoft environment security experience (e.g., servers, workstations, software…) required
•    Basic understanding of AWS or Azure environments required
•    Ability to be on call (1-2 calls/wk.) & work occasional after-hours shifts is required
•    Ability to work 100% on-site is required
