Job Title: IT Support Technician
Location: Irvine, CA – Onsite
Compensation: $24.00 – $28.00 - Hourly
About this position:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused IT Support Technician to join our team. This entry-level role (0–2 years of experience) provides Level 1 help desk support to internal staff, assisting with system setups, troubleshooting basic technical issues, and ensuring an excellent customer service experience for all internal users.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls, emails, or chat requests for IT support and log all issues in the IT ticketing system.
- Provide Level 1 troubleshooting and resolution for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist with new user onboarding, including system setup, hardware configuration, and account creation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of issues, solutions, and system configurations.
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level IT staff as needed.
- Support the setup and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other office equipment.
- Handle printer-related issues, including setup, configuration, and clearing paper jams.
- Deliver friendly, timely, and professional customer service to internal employees.
- Follow IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or relevant technical training preferred.
- 0–2 years of IT support or help desk experience (internships or school projects welcome).
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and basic networking concepts.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Primarily on-site with potential for occasional remote support.
- May require occasional lifting of equipment (up to 50 lbs).
