Position and Salary
The Attorney General’s Office is recruiting for a non-permanent full time IT Support Technician 2 in the Information Services Division. This position may be located in either Tumwater, Washington, and is not union-represented.
IT Support Technician 2 Salary Range (46): $49,428 - $66,372
The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the preferred candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

About the Information Services Division:
The Information Services Division (ISD) provides support and consulting for legal technologies.
The division is responsible for the development and delivery of AGO computer and telephone network infrastructure and the operation of network hardware and software platforms to provide AGO staff access to their work products and communications.
This division has multiple units that provide eDiscovery litigation support, custom software development, business intelligence and data management services. Data security and disaster recovery are key to the maintenance and operations of the AGO's voice and data systems. The division also ensures compliance with state governance policies and standards and ensures that all electronic services function properly and securely.
Duties and Essential Functions of a IT Support Technician 2:
This position is in the Desktop Services team and reports to the Desktop Services Supervisor. The Desktop Services team supports the mission of the organization by performing technical support for AGO laptops and devices. The team also supports and troubleshoots issues with approved software applications installed on Windows devices and approved computer-related hardware.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent plus two years of experience in information technology-related activities such as systems administration, installing and maintaining hardware and software, troubleshooting peripherals, conducting basic knowledge of networking connectivity/infrastructure/telecommunications.
Competitive candidates will have six months or more experience working in a law firm environment.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
A background check consisting of employment history, professional references and educational verification (e.g., degree, license, or official transcript) may be conducted. Prior to any offer, the applicant selected will be required to submit to and pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check conducted by the Washington State Patrol, Criminal Records Division. The incumbent will submit to additional background checks as a condition of employment every five (5) years thereafter.
Must maintain a driver's license valid under Washington State law.
