Led by the values and mission of the organization, the IT Support Specialist provides hands-on technical assistance, trouble shooting, and support to end users regarding computers, hardware, software, networks, and other IT-related issues to ensure smooth and efficient functioning and to resolve technical issues.

Work Performed

  • Provide technical assistance through various channels such as phone, email, chat, or in-person. Manage help desk tickets efficiently and run diagnostics.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Support and troubleshoot Windows desktops and laptops
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and group memberships (Active Directory / Azure AD)
  • Assist with networking issues (LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi)
  • Document processes and escalate issues to vendors when needed
  • Provide excellent customer service, following up on employees to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Assist with data migration projects and new acquisition integration projects when necessary.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years IT Support experience
  • Ability to remotely troubleshoot and resolve issues for a widely disbursed user base
  • Ability to work independently and to resourcefully find solutions to challenging situations
  • Strong skills in Microsoft 365, Windows OS and general networking
  • Insurance industry technology experience a plus (Applied Epic or Vertafore)
  • CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+) or Microsoft certifications preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and customer service skills
