IT Support Specialist Full-Time
Gulf South Diagnostics seeks a dependable and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining technology systems, providing end-user support, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of hardware, software, and network resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, phones, and other office technology.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols.
- Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Assist with onboarding by setting up new employee workstations, email, and system access.
- Support leadership with technology-related projects, upgrades, and system integrations.
- Document IT procedures, maintain equipment inventory, and track support requests.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all IT-related concerns and escalate complex issues when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Information Technology or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in IT support or help desk environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking
- Familiarity with cloud-based systems, email administration, and data security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Work Schedule & Compensation:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
- $45,000 – $50,000/year
