IT Support Specialist Full-Time

Gulf South Diagnostics seeks a dependable and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining technology systems, providing end-user support, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of hardware, software, and network resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, phones, and other office technology.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols.
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Assist with onboarding by setting up new employee workstations, email, and system access.
  • Support leadership with technology-related projects, upgrades, and system integrations.
  • Document IT procedures, maintain equipment inventory, and track support requests.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all IT-related concerns and escalate complex issues when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in IT support or help desk environment
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking
  • Familiarity with cloud-based systems, email administration, and data security best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Work Schedule & Compensation:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • $45,000 – $50,000/year
