POSITION: IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST
COMANCO is in search of an IT Support Specialist responsible for conducting analytical, technical, and administrative tasks related to the planning and deployment of personal devices and workstations, both new and existing. The role involves diagnosing and resolving issues reported by employees, collaborating with management to identify hardware and software needs, installing new components, maintaining existing ones, and providing end-user training. Additionally, the IT Support Specialist will perform general maintenance, troubleshoot problems with user devices and peripherals, generate progress reports, and assess products for compatibility, expandability, ease of use, and support within the organization.
JOB FOCUS:
- Ensure COMANCO data is always secure and follow Company and IT policies to prevent theft of Company data.
- Work the assigned IT tickets and document all processes and steps to resolution with accurate data for future reference.
- Achieve computer system objectives by gathering pertinent data; identifying and evaluating options; recommending a course of action. Enable optimization of computer systems by systematically
- gathering diagnostic data, conducting comprehensive evaluations of technological alternatives, and
- delivering actionable recommendations based on performance metrics and compatibility assessments.
- Assist with administering and maintaining end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Provide technical hardware and software support to each authorized user as needed.
- Eliminate or reduce employee downtime.
- Assist with remote user access.
- Assist with print servers both virtualized and physical in an AD environment.
- Install software on existing company-owned computers. Image and set up new workstations ensuring consistency across all machines.
- Distribute software updates and patches and assist with planning and implementing hardware and software upgrades.
- Stage mobile devices for employee deployment and managing devices in mobile device management.
- Assist in performing all desktop-related tasks associated with employee onboarding and terminations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
- Maximize use of hardware and software by training users; interpreting instructions; answering questions.
- Assist with administering corporate web pages, blogs, and social media accounts, as requested.
- Perform various IT functions such as network and server administration and audio-visual and telephone systems.
- Assist in the process of documenting hardware and software assets; purchase, maintenance and disposal.
- Build technical knowledge and skills to create business reports and learn software programs to assist the company in reaching its business goals.
- Maintain current knowledge of emerging technology and determine if those technologies may assist the company in achieving its goals.
- Perform other duties and special assignments assigned by the management.

Qualifications:
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish)
- College degree in computer science or related field.
- At least two years of prior tech support/help desk experience required.
- Mobile Device Management experience required.
- Excellent project and time management skills.
