Position Summary:
The IT Support Specialist will play an important role in supporting the daily technology operations of Unison Health by providing entry-level IT assistance, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining computer equipment and organizational systems. This position will serve as a first point of contact for employee technology needs, assist with workstation setup, software installation, user account management, and electronic health record support. The Specialist will also help maintain technology inventory, provide basic employee training, and support IT projects and system improvements. Working collaboratively with IT leadership and other technical team members, this role offers opportunities to develop hands-on technical experience while ensuring employees have the technology resources and support needed to perform their responsibilities effectively.
Key Responsibilities & Role Highlights:

Provide Level 1 IT help desk support and respond to employee technology questions and requests

Troubleshoot basic computer, software, printer, network connectivity, and phone system issues

Assist with setting up, installing, and maintaining desktops, laptops, monitors, and other technology equipment

Support employee onboarding by preparing workstations and assisting with system access and account setup

Assist with Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, email, and other organizational applications

Provide basic electronic health record (EHR) technical support and assist employees with system navigation and access

Monitor, document, and resolve IT support requests through the agency's ticketing system

Assist with password resets, user account updates, and basic system permissions

Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation of organizational technology equipment

Provide basic technology training and assistance to employees with varying levels of technical experience

Support routine software updates, equipment maintenance, and organizational IT security procedures

Assist with telehealth equipment, conference room technology, and communication systems

Collaborate with IT team members to troubleshoot issues, support technology projects, and improve employee technology experiences

Identify and escalate complex technical concerns to appropriate IT personnel
Education & Experience Requirements:
-
Associate or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent technical training, certifications, or demonstrated technical aptitude may be considered.

Previous IT support, help desk, customer service, or computer troubleshooting experience preferred but not required.

Entry-level IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft certifications preferred.

Basic familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and computer hardware preferred.

Exposure to software installation, computer troubleshooting, networking fundamentals, or user account management preferred.

Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, or IT ticketing systems is a plus.

Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly and patiently.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn new technology systems and procedures.

Ability to troubleshoot problems, follow instructions, and work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow organizational privacy and information security standards.

Reliable transportation and ability to travel between organizational locations as needed.

Flexibility to assist with occasional after-hours technology support or scheduled maintenance as needed.
