We’re looking for an IT Support Intern to join our team in Oakville and gain hands-on experience supporting our employees and day-to-day IT operations.
This is a great opportunity for a college or university student who has a foundation in IT and wants to build practical experience in a real-world business environment. While this is an entry-level role, we’re looking for someone who can jump in, learn quickly and take ownership of routine IT support needs.
What you’ll be doing
Set up computers, equipment and user accounts for new hires
Support onboarding and offboarding activities
Provide basic technical support for password resets, access issues, hardware and common software troubleshooting
Assist with IT equipment and inventory management
Prepare and configure laptops, monitors, phones and other technology
Help maintain accurate IT records and documentation
Troubleshoot routine issues and escalate more complex technical problems when needed
Support other IT projects and initiatives as opportunities arise
What we’re looking for
Currently enrolled in an IT, Computer Systems, Networking, Information Technology or related post-secondary program
Some foundational knowledge of IT support and troubleshooting
Comfortable working with computers, hardware, software and common business applications
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Customer-focused and patient when supporting users with varying levels of technical knowledge
Organized, dependable and able to manage multiple requests
Comfortable working independently while knowing when to ask for help
Previous IT, help desk, co-op or technical experience is an asset

This is a year-round student opportunity requiring full-time availability, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Scheduling may be coordinated around academic terms and co-op requirements.
