IT Support

The IT Support will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for the IT infrastructure of the Metrolinx’s Legacy Fleet Maintenance operations. 

This individual will collaborate with the management team, customers, suppliers, partners and involved stakeholders.  

Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, will be responsible for maintaining the IT infrastructure, including installing and configuring hardware and software, and managing technical issues as they arise. 

• Confirm that all HSE policies, processes and procedures are being complied  

• Able to install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, and printers.  Familiar with cellular phones and their set up for business use.  Point of contact for all IT issues.  Installing and upgrading anti-virus software and security systems 

• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks 

• Responding to service support issues in a timely manner 

• Provide expert IT technical support across the business. Troubleshoot minor and complex issues 

• Able to repair or replace equipment as required 

• Testing new technology 

• Setting up accounts for new users 

• Ability to develop KPI’s and present data 

• Prepare senior management relating any potential complications 

• Work with the team to prepare and create recurrent reports that are requested by operations or higher  

• Comply with the company’s applicable policies and procedures as well as human resources’ guidelines
