IT Helpdesk Technician

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: Starting at $62,000 annually

We are seeking a knowledgeable and service-oriented IT Helpdesk Technician to join our Information Technology team at Steele Rubber Products. In this role, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support across the organization, ensuring systems, hardware, and software operate efficiently while delivering excellent support to end users. You will manage helpdesk tickets, troubleshoot technical issues, and communicate solutions in a clear and timely manner, helping employees stay productive and connected.
This position plays a key role in maintaining system performance and reliability by identifying recurring issues, recommending improvements, and assisting with preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a variety of technologies including PCs, laptops, printers, and networked systems, and will have experience supporting Windows environments, Microsoft Office applications, and helpdesk platforms. A strong ability to diagnose and resolve both onsite and remote technical issues, along with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users, is essential for success in this role.
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with an associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, and at least three years of experience in a PC/LAN support environment or a combination of education and experience. Experience with scripting or programming languages, system tools, or virtualization platforms is a plus.
