Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour (DOE) 

Work Type: Full-time (Long-Term Contract

Available Shift: Day Shift | M-F | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm 

Expected Hours: 40 per week

Location: Onsite | Renton, WA

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Provide computer and device end-user customer support including specification, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines.
  2. Train and orient staff on the use of hardware and software, as appropriate.
  3. Perform the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software within established standards and guidelines.
  4. Write and maintain IT ticketing, records, and logs, as appropriate.
  5. Perform physical installation of data center equipment, cabling, and other IT equipment as directed.
  6. Assist to ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems.
  7. May occasionally work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


Education & Experience

  1. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Some college and/or Trade School education highly preferred.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an environment providing end-user support, delivering information systems hardware, software, or any desktop support technical services or completion of a certificate program or Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
  3. Hands-on experience with computer hardware; troubleshooting, installing, and configuring Windows operating systems and application software.
  4. Experience working with networking components and Active Directory is a plus.


Knowledge

  1. Working knowledge of the Windows desktop operating systems, including Windows 11.
  2. Working technical knowledge of Windows with an emphasis on setup and troubleshooting.
  3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as Microsoft Active Directory Services.
  4. Working knowledge of common mobile platforms such as iOS, Android, etc.
  5. Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365.
  6. ITIL knowledge, a plus.


Skills

  1. Skills required to deploy and maintain standard system images.
  2. Good prioritization and organizational skills.


Abilities

  1. Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity of devices on wired and wireless networks.
  2. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate; verbally and in writing including disseminating information to a diverse and multi-level customer base.
  3. Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks with guidance from management.


License & Certification

  1. CompTIA A+ is preferred
  2. CompTIA Network + is preferred
