IT Help Desk Technician I
M-F, 8am-5pm
In Office - Elgin, IL with occasional travel to Elmhurst, IL (use of company vehicle provided)
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver prompt, professional IT support to internal users across various departments—both in-person and remotely
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, mobile devices, and Windows OS
- Configure and deploy new hire workstations, access credentials, and equipment to ensure seamless onboarding
- Monitor and maintain systems performance, escalating advanced issues as necessary to Director or external vendors
- Maintain accurate documentation of support cases, technical procedures, and IT asset inventory
- Collaborate with the IT Director and Senior IT Analysts on strategic initiatives, including server migrations, system upgrades, and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, data security standards, and best practices across the organization
- Create or assist with user guides and training materials to help staff make the most of IT resources
- Maintain and organize documentation for hardware warranties, software licenses, and support contracts
- Work collaboratively across the organization, participating in company initiatives as requested
Job Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- 1-3+ years of experience in an IT support or help desk role, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office , and other business applications
- Experience with networking fundamentals, remote desktop tools, VPNs, and troubleshooting connectivity issues
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests effectively
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation and a team-first attitude
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems is a plus
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a strong advantage
- Occasional travel to additional location in Elmhurst, IL - company vehicle can be provided for commute to Elmhurst

- Physical requirements: ability to sit or stand for several hours at a time; move about the office with ease; ability to kneel, bend, squat, and balance; and lift or move up to 20-pounds

Required Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Compensation: This role is non-exempt, offering an annual salary of $40,000 paid in biweekly installments.
