Assists agency customers and answers general questions as the first point of contact on the phone. Screens application for public assistance and schedules appointments as needed. Performs general clerical duties including faxing, scanning and maintaining agency logs.
65% Answers general and case specific questions through the agency call center. Requests appropriate verifications and documents in journal notes. Processes electronic documents such as faxes, interim reports, change reports, emails and completes appropriate forms. Completes case changes in address and phone number in Ohio Benefits.
20% Provide additional clerical support by faxing information, sending necessary forms and letters, and maintaining agency logs or spreadsheets.
10% Relieves other Unit Support Worker 2 positions in Community Services.
5% Attends workshops, meetings, and training sessions. Performs other related duties as required.
- Twelve months experience as a Unit Support Worker 1, 30111 and a valid driver's license. - Or formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction, and reading and speaking common English vocabulary, one course or six months experience in typing, keyboarding or word processing, and a valid driver's license. Also requires an additional twelve months experience in typing, keyboarding or word processing and working in an office environment handling in-person and/or telephone contacts with clients, customers and/or general public. Or education, training and/or experience in an amount equal to the Minimum Qualifications stated above.
