seeking to hire a help desk technician.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide excellent customer service to campus users via phone, email and chat. Log all help desk requests into a ticketing system for the purpose of tracking and route problems and requests and document resolutions Checking and responding to voicemail Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues Assisting customers with Apple and Windows operating systems Collaborate with other HSU staff to resolve customer inquiries and ensure quality support Pursue self-education/development to enhance skills and abilities Other duties that will be assigned as needed ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Enthusiastic and patient person who can handle a variety of different situations and users Prior customer service experience is highly desirable, but not required Basic computer knowledge is desired Punctual and reliable in attendance Able to maintain confidentiality with protected personal information Able to maintain a positive attitude and customer empathy Ability to research questions using available information resources
Installing or updating software on user’s computers
