Description


Performs beginning level, intermediate skilled technical work configuring, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting workstations, equipment, hardware, phones, software, network and peripherals, providing technical support and training to users, installing and upgrading information systems, preparing and maintaining files and records, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Infrastructure Services Manager. 

Minimum Education and Experience


Associates/Technical degree in computer science, information technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Comments


  • Provides technical helpdesk support for hardware and software management.
  • Provides all end user desktop support and training to end users; troubleshoots, repairs or coordinates repairs of desktop computers, software and hardware.
  • Installs, repairs, and supports computer hardware, phones, printers, copiers and peripherals.
  • Offers basic networking, voice and data communications support.
  • Assists with ordering replacement parts, installing structured cabling and researching new technologies.
  • Assists with maintaining user IDs, passwords and security groups.
  • Assists with maintaining data integrity and infrastructure security.
  • Works with users to resolve issues.
  • Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment, user guides, manuals and guidebooks.
  • Facilitates user training.
  • Abides by, enforces and participates in the implementation and ongoing oversight of Randolph County Government safety standards and regulations.
