Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Position Summary:
Minneola Healthcare is seeking a motivated and dependable IT Support Specialist to support the day-to-day technology needs of a critical access hospital. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in computers and technology, and the desire to grow within the healthcare IT field. On-the-job training and apprenticeship opportunities are available to support your development in this vital role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support for hospital staff across all departments (hardware, software, printers, network access, etc.)
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computers, printers, phones, and other technology equipment
- Support clinical systems, including Electronic Health Record (EHR), imaging systems (PACS), and telehealth applications
- Help maintain secure network access, user accounts, email systems, and equipment inventory
- Monitor system performance and report issues to senior IT support or vendors
- Assist with implementing software updates and cybersecurity protocols in compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
- Participate in IT-related projects, training, and process improvements
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED required
- Willingness to complete an on-the-job training program and/or participate in a formal IT apprenticeship through an educational institution
- Basic knowledge of computer systems, software, and troubleshooting
- Strong interest in learning about healthcare technology systems
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently or as part of a team
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and professional
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience working in IT, help desk, or technical support (healthcare or other industry)
- Basic certifications such as CompTIA A+, Google IT Support, or Microsoft Fundamentals
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, on-site position
- May include some after-hours or on-call support for critical systems
